Design Studies [and especially me] are excited to have Mr. Dylan Horrocks down next week for a keynote and workshops. Dylan is one of [if not the] premier comic artist in NZ with real international chops, winning an Eisner and Harvey award for his works Hicksville and Atlas respectively.  His has also been a University of Auckland Literary Fellow, written for Batgirl and in recent activity created a satiric cartoon in support of NZ’s Internet Black Out against media corporations.

It will be great. If you can come along to his Keynote on Monday. Details above.

This has been a very inspiring, enlightening and motivating week. Dylan’s keynote was fantastic [I think the best Design Studies has had, and good turn-out too] and the workshops very helpful and informative  for students [and me]. We had a lot of gate-crashers sneaking in which was more than great.

A huge wealth of knowledge and body of experience.

Looking forward to Kris Sowersby next week.
