This is the one of the more satisfying animation I’ve seen in a long time [I can watch it over and over and not get bored]. I’m compelled to call this charming, with more appeal than anything big budget – ok it has a crudeness to it [though still beautiful draw], but it ‘s got character and does not hide the fact that it IS an animation. The past 20 years or so we’ve been bogged down by all this hyper-realistic, software driven shit [which I guess is what we expect publicly by animation now]. There is something to be said though for just good storytelling and wit [which often falls by the wayside with this other bells and whistles stuff]. Anyway check it oot … the song just great too and really what makes it, with a bit of Daniel Johnsonesque quality.  Oh and of course, most importantly, it’s done by  Garrett Davis and Kirsten Lepore. Give it a nudge.
