I absolutely adore the short films of Terri Timely [the directing team Ian Kibbey and Corey Creasey]. I’ve just noticed they have released [well, a couple ago now] a new one entitled Synesthesia, which, as always, is a masterpiece in craft and narrative vision. Synesthesia is really an interesting psychological construct. Definition[s]:

“A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color.” /  “A sensation felt in one part of the body as a result of stimulus applied to another, as in referred pain.” / “The description of one kind of sense impression by using words that normally describe another.”

This work is basically an exploration of this through reflection on two Asian brothers as they explore their own associations and sensations – taste, colour, numbers… Cool.

[Thanks Motionographer, for the gentle reminder to keep an eye on TT – a post by them here on Terri Timely]
