How amazing is the work of Paul Romano? His work has a beautifully unique use of colour and pattern/filigree and painterly motifs which are so distinctive and intricate. I’m particularly taken by his designs for one of favourite groups Mastodon. He has created a whole aesthetic for the group that beautifully aligns with the themes of their albums so far [fire, water, earth, ether]. Not only has he designed the entire packaging for all their albums to date but also for each single release and different versions for LP, CD, special editions. An amazing body of work. Check out more of his work [here].

These are the covers he has done for Mastodon + an example of the pattern work in the packaging.
