Bit of an impulse buy …

just got these two prints from PopUp in Wellington. Both are designed by Walter Hansen using a selection of typefaces by NZ type designer Joseph Churchward. Pretty beautiful and striking. The 2-colour prints are entitled “Sing” and “Chirp”. They feature the english and maori names of NZ birds which well sing/chirp. Nice idea.

“Sing” [the longer one] is screenprinted on 220gsm conqueror laid paper stock,  limited edition of 75. Signed and numbered.

“Chirp” [the smaller square one ] is letterpress print on 500gsm Somerset board, limited edition of 70. Signed and numbered. Although smaller, it features 6 more bird names.
